Can't connect to to internet

I have a old model xbox connecting through a Linksys Wireless G game adaptor to a new SBG901 Motorola cable modem/wifi adaptor.  I can't get the xbox to connect to the cable modem.  It keeps saying that the xbox cannot get an IP address.  I tried to assign a static IP with no luck.  I've got NAPT disabled,

I've gone through the guided help on this site and still no luck.  Any suggestions?

The user guide on that page tells you how to set it up using your pc.  You also need to make sure you are only using WEP security for your wireless network.

I'm trying to get that set up.  I've turned off my security for now to see if that helps with the configuration problems.
