CAN'T CONNECT TO THE INTERNET THROUGH ETHERNET CABLE

Hello,

Few past hours i've been trying to connect to the internet through ethernet cable with my macbook pro.

Internet Sharing between my Airport and Ethernet connection is enabled.

At first I opened up Terminal, typed "ifconfig en0".

The part I was looking for is named "inet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx". In my case inet 169.254.116.9

Then I started up my Xbox and navigated to the Network settings menu.

Under IP address, entered the number I got from the "ifconfig en0" command earlier on, but with the final number one place higher. In my case 169.254.116.10 in the IP address box on my Xbox 360.

Under subnet, input 255.255.255.0

Under gateway, entered the number I got earlier from the "ifconfig en0" command. In my case, that's "169.254.116.9"

The moved onto DNS. Entered the IP address of my wireless router (in my case, "192.168.11.1") in both the primary and secondary IP address field.

Left PPPoE and Advanced settings blank.

And I can't still connect to the internet. Have any sollutions what to do?
