Can't connect to network

I am unable to connect to my network, and therefore Xbox Live. The IP started with 169 at first, so I tried a manual one (like the help said) to no avail. My wireless password is entered correctly.

I am using a new Xbox 360 S console, but I also have a wireless adapter (the gray one), but neither works. The adapter works with the 360 Elite console, in the same spot.
