Can't connect to Netflix or other apps

Hi, I'm new to this but think I've done everything right? I can connect to Xbox live and have runs tests which suggest connection is ok but when I try to get onto Netflix or another app it tells me I need to sign into xbox live.. but I am already connected and signed in.  I then sign out and back in again but it does the same thing, telling me I must sign in when I'm already signed in. Please help!

Hello, it could be a maintenance so check (support.xbox.com/.../xbox-live-status) in case it is that. Also it could also be that since many of the apps are for Gold members you are not a Gold member so you wouldn't be able to use Netflix. I would also recommend doing a clear cache as a last resort if all fails as that can solve the issue. Thanks
