Can't connect as it states Child and parent are in different regions.

Hi,

We are new to xbox, and don't really know our way around it yet. We are a family of 4, our kids are 10 & 12. I wanted to connect everyone to xbox live.

I have an xbox gold account, and I thought that I would be able to connect everyone else to the free xbox live account. I started to put our 10yr olds details in (email, D.o.B etc) and it asked which account would be the parent account, so I chose mine. It then stated that it couldn't as the parent and child accounts were in different regions. The only way to get back out of there is to turn the console of and start again.

I have checked everywhere on the console and in my account details on the website and it all seems to correctly say United Kingdom.

Can anyone offer a solution?

Sounds like you will have to change the region of the child account.  Here you go  support.xbox.com/.../change-region

When setting up the accounts, you may have accidentily selected the wrong region for one of them, so you may need to start over.
