Can't change windows live id email

I'm trying to change my email and followed all the steps correctly. The problem I have is that when I finally get to the screen where it says "yes, change" and when I select it, I get an error message saying that my email or password is invalid. The thing is that in order to get to this screen I had to have all my info correct so I have no idea why its giving me this error message. Any solutions?

Have you changed your WLID in the past 30 days?If you have that may be why.Also,are you 100% sure you are typing in the right info.If you are not sure or if someone may have changed it go to hotmail.com or whatever your email on your XBL account is and reset the password.

Nevermind, it finally worked. Apparently something was glitched and after trying for a while it finally worked. Thanks anyway for the response.

Hello I Denutz I,

I would try to sign into both emails at http://login.live.com to make sure that there are no errors or blocks.  If that is correct then you may want to delete and redownload your gamertag, profile only, and then try again.

To delete:

1.) Settings

2.) Systems

3.) Storage

4.) Select the device in which you saved your gamertag.

5.) Go to Gamertag Profile folder.

6.) Select your gamertag.

7.) Hit delete.

8.) Select Profile Only (that is very important)

9.) Select okay.

To re-download:

1.) From the dashboard hit your guide button, center button on the controller.

2.) Hit download profile.

3.) Enter in the email and password to your account that you want to change your email on.

4.) It should then download.

If that still does not work you may want to call technical support in order to see what they would recommend or if they have any other solutions.

Another thing to look for as well, is too make sure the new email is set up correctly as a Windows Live ID. You can go check it on account.live.com. If it's not, you may need to set it up as one.
