Can't change privacy settings

For a long time now, I haven't been able to change my privacy settings because every time I try to all it says is:

Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened. It appears you've found a glitch in the system.

I would greatly appreciate any help I can get, Thanks in advance :)

  1. Can you tell us the exact path you're taking to reach that error?
  2. Have you tried clearing your browser's cookies and cache before trying again?
  3. Have you tried multiple web browsers?

If that message is given to you as soon as you sign into xbox.com and select "my account", then it is a billing suspension. You probably have a gold membership that automatically renewed but the payment instrument on file is declining.

Call 1-800-4my-Xbox and make sure that your membership payments are going through.
