Can you use an old Xbox 360 (60GB) HDD in the new Slim?

As the topic says, can you use an old HDD in the new Slim? Have a 4GB Slim, and already out of memory on my HDD. Won't have the money until next pay period for a 250GB HDD, but have an old 60GB HDD lying around somewhere. Will it work?

NO NO NO

dont do it buddy they do ban people for doing this, man save yourself the pain and struggle just wait for your money, to by the OFFICIAL hardrive it will save you money in the long run and if you need to transfer info from the old harddrive to the new harddrive also make sure to use the microsoft's official transfer cable

because they  have it set to corrupt data if you use a 3rd party cable like from best buy or frys

No you can't use your old 360 hard drives...but that was the plan by microsoft make you pay for a new harddrive instead of being able to atleast get a discount or something on a new hard drive.
