can you have different profiles with different parental control settings?

When we go to xbox home we see the various "avatars" (profiles?) for our family members.

Because we have children accessing the xbox, we set up parental parameters - like only G-rated games/material being allowed.

But now I notice that even after the kids are asleep and we adults select our profiles, we don't get to see the game and movie posters for "restricted" content.

And if we want to view one of those titles, we have to override the parental restriction on a case by case basis.

Is there some way that we can just set a profile to be ADULT and require a single password to use that profile?  Then whenever we adults access our profiles, we won't have any of the parental restrictions in place?

Thanks for your time?

Sorry to hear about your problem.

You have two options:

  1. Use the Parental Controls to customise and manage the family's access to the games & DLC on the console.
  2. Create a Family Gold Pack on the console to gain more control over the access (like amount of time spent on the console)

Take a look at both links and see which is more suitable to your situation.

Hello,

The way the Parental Controls works on the Xbox 360 console is such that when it is turned on all the profiles on it are affected by it.

The way around it, is to disable it before you adults start using the console or in a case by case basis as you mention.

Hope this helps.
