Can xbox stream from NAS?

I have a NAS that is running a DLNA service, and I cant seem to find a straight answer on how to play mp4/aac using my xbox.  It sees the DLNA server, but shows no video/audio files.  My PC, Android tablet and phone, Ipod, Iphone, Ipad, Ps3s and WDTV all stream these files just fine, so I don't think the issue is with the NAS.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't seen any way to stream aac files to the Xbox. However, Windows Media and MP3 files should stream via DLNA. Have you taken a look at this link? support.xbox.com/.../playto-setup

You may want to try and throw a couple MP3s on the NAS box and see if you can play them. If so, then it's just the file formats that the Xbox doesn't like.

You could run TVersity - http://tversity.com/ on a network connected PC and point it at your AAC files, be sure to check this post on their forums for how to do it - forums.tversity.com/viewtopic.php . That will allow you to play the files through your Xbox.
