Can Someone Help?

Hi. I've ran into a bit of an issue connecting to Xbox Live and it's really annoying me as I got Gears Judgment yestersay & I'm trying to get online to play with my friends.

Yesterday I played online no problem. I turned off the console as usual and went to bed. When I went back to the console today to go back online to play it simply refuses to connect again and everything is as it was last night.

I have the Xbox ethernet cable running into my laptop as the only internet we have is the modem you plug into the USB port on your laptop or computer. I have the internet connection set to share the internet to other users connected to the computer and it's given no problems to date. It fails the connection test at the network part everytime.

Can anyone shed some light on this? I'd be hugely grateful.

Hey there bud!

 

First of all, I would like for you to perform a Network Speed Test as it could be the network you are using isn't speedy enough. You may also want to have a sneak peak of the Xbox LIVE Disconnects | Xbox LIVE Slow | Speed Up Xbox LIVE page to help you gain more sufficient connection, and also assist you in terms of your disconnection. Also, a simple Xbox LIVE test may show the error causing this, so if you go ahead and perform the connection test and any errors appear, have a review of the Connection Errors where there will be solutions specified for that error that could potentially come up.

I ran into the same problems again today. As I was reading through the links you provided me I kept testing the connection over and over again and it suddenly decided to connect and work again.

If this problems happens again I'll refer to those links you sent me.
