Can not to Connect to Network

I got a new router today because my old one is not working. This is what I picked up: http://www.retailplus.com/products/network-mini-switch/retail-plus-8ports-10100-mbps-mini-switch . My computer runs fine off of it. Yet, I can't get my Xbox to connect to the network. I have done every step in the trouble shooting process. I know it's not something silly like I don't have it plugged in.  Please help!

One things though, I couldn't find any info on the routers DNHC.

Any assistance would be greatly helpful.

Thank you

Sorry you need a router, a switch is a dumb device. The modem can only issue one ip address to one device as you can see by your current issue. If you use a router the router takes that one ip address and NAT it it so many devices can share the same connection. You can keep the switch to connect to the router if you need more than 4 wired ports but you do need a router to resolve this

Did this solve your problem?

Sorry this didn't help.

Great! Thanks for marking this as the answer.
