Can not log in to my gold account

I tried logging into my xbox live gold account today and it says my email address is not in the system.  It is the same email i have always used and i know it is the one linked to my gold account because i logged into it.  I ended up making a new account using said email address but my xbox live gold account isnt linked to it.  I have my system registered and everything but now i cant get access to my normal account... what should i do?

Hey IngrainedPlum31! The Gold subscription will be tied to your first Gamertag so switching your WLID won't switch the subscription. Have you tried logging into your account both online and on your Xbox 360 console? Do you see the same error through both venues?

Well my xbox broke, i was trying to login to check the warranty status lol

Hey there Plum! So, just to clarify, you are trying to log in to Xbox.com, but you're getting this account instead? It sounds to me like your account is currently under a different email address. Can you try logging in with a different email/password to see if that's the issue.

Also, if you can access another working console, can you try logging in to your account there and let us know if that works. Thanks!

i am 100% sure this is the same email i have always used... when i tried logging in the first time it said email not found so i created the account again... only way i could post here.

I do not have another console to login to, on a side note i am still getting xbox live emails with my normal account handle... so it is definitely my listed email.
