Can I use TP Link WA500G with a router without WDS to play on xbox live?

Hi guys, I've just ordered a new TP Link WA500G Wireless gaming adapter. Can I use this with a D Link DSL 2680 which has no WDS capability, to connect wirelessly to my xbox?

Thanks in advance.

You will need to port forward: portforward.com/.../Xbox_Live_360.htm

Not port forwarding with this router will result in connection problems.
