Can I still play a game that caused an RRoD on a new console?

At the beginning of the summer, I was playing Halo 2 multiplayer with a friend (local, not on Xbox Live) and my Xbox red ringed. Microsoft sent me a new console, but I'm wondering if I'll have to get a new copy of Halo 2, or if it'll be okay on the new console. Please help!

The console didn`t RRoD`d `cause of a specific game but because the console broke down (usually due to overheating components). So, playing Halo 2 again shouldn`t put your new console at risk.
