Can I get an estimate on how long my Unauth. Access Wil Take?

Account was hacked and reported on the same day, Sept. 24, 2011. Email address associated was not hacked as it used a different password. Emails received: Points transferred to Colombia, windows live id associated changed. Upon contacting support I was told 25 days. Then, contacting them again I was told it would take longer as they are "rebuilding." Can someone give me a realistic estimate on my case as either I will wait for it or make a new account entirely. The main issue is the Xbox live time / points on the account as I do not want to have to pay for all of it again. I can PM confirmation number and details...

Account transfers seem to have no timeline. Depending on the country, reports are that MS says they can't get the accounts back.  Can you elaborate on the "rebuilding" comment?  What did they say they were rebuilding?

They said they had to rebuild the account and all of the licenses. I don't know how long this takes though. 1 month? 1 year?

Ah, you must be a fortunate one.  I have seen some reports on the forums here of three months and some as long as a year.  The ones that get moved to Russia or Brazil apparently can't be brought back at all.

I wish we could all get the help this guy got, right now!

We'd all have our accounts and points back in three days.  But I know there are a lot of people working hard on support and investigation anyway.  Just wishing out loud lol.

Ah thanks, I was looking for that video.  It's going to be good proof in court that MIcrosoft takes certain people more seriously than others.

Yea, I was wondering if we can file some kind of complaint against them. I have always kept everything secure, so it was on Microsoft's side that they do not have a proper authentication for things like this happening. I even think I was one of the few people that had the little key-code thing when signing into Xbox Live. Did that just because I thought it was another way to keep my account safe.

One user reported that the issue was resolved within two weeks of him contacting his state's attorney general's consumer affairs office.

I'd like to either: get my account back within 2 months

or transfer all live time and points to a new account now... Maybe this is a faster option?

@ECGxFranky The keycode on the Xbox is not stored server side and thus has no effect on account security other than on your own console.

@void, Yea I realize that. Just gave me peace of mind that my account while on my own physical Xbox was just a bit safer while I was not near it. Maybe they should make it server side. Would be nice.
