Can an HDMI port be replaced?

My roomie's XBOX is having issues with the HDMI port.  We can see that the metal pins in the middle are a bit bent and the HDMI is not working.  He is able to use the standard auxiliary cords to plug it in but no matter what TV or HDMI cord we use, his XBOX won't work on hi-def.  Is it possible to replace the HDMI port so that he doesn't have to buy a new XBOX 360?

Hi there HotMess37, I would recommend sending the console in for repair, it's cheaper than a new console and the best option for your friend.

Another option if the tv has component inputs would be to use a component cable, this would give just as good a display quality as HDMI in my opinion.

Broccoli, tiny trees of green goodness.
