California Verizon Fios won't connect to Xbox Live

I was wondering when Microsoft or Verizon Fios would be fixing this problem that is prevented a lot of Californian Verizon Fios customers from logging on to Xbox Live. If anyone knows or has any idea please reply to my post, k thanks.

I am in the same situation here in CA. Called Fios and they say it is a connection issue between them and xbox and they hope to have it resolved in 24 to 48 hours. They say it is on Xbox side and they cannot help. I worked on my router all day thinking it was something else. Wasted my whole day. Would have been nice to see an xbox live support post on the support page, might of went to the beach instead :)

Sorry that you both are affected by this issue, Rest assured that Microsoft is working on the issue and will try to have it resolved as fast as possible, but for future references you may want to bookmark the Xbox Live Service Status page which can be found here so that you can be aware of any service related issues with Xbox Live or apps..

Try resetting your router and or modem by unplugging them for about 3 minutes.. Then plug them back in.. Let us know if you still have the same issue.

iRayDawg, i unplugged my modem and router for 3 minutes ach and i'm still having the same error.

It appears that the issue has not been resolved but I am trying to touch base with Xbox Support to verify if the Status page was updated in error or what is going on..

I noticed xbox live updated the service alert page however my fios is still unable to connect to xbox live. What is going on?
