Bought Xbox Live Gold but still says I'm a free member.

Yesterday I bought gold and received a confirmation email saying xbox received my payment. However my account still says I'm a free member and I can't play online or use any gold features. How can I fix this. I wasted my money if I can't.

Please confirm the transaction went through properly, and you were charged to begin with. In certain cases when error's occur you are not charged completely and are refunded. You can do so by visiting your transaction history here.

Once you've confirmed you were charged you can then contact phone support to see if they can refund this for you so you can try again at a later time or see if they can perhaps fix the issue. You're not the only one that's gone through this with regards to purchasing a membership and not getting what you paid for. It seems like it's an error going around since last night and it's being worked on.

So they just sent an update saying that the problem is fixed. I try to sign in and the subscription I bought this afternoon is still not showing up. What's going on?

Your damn right. I'm sorry but I'm the buyer here and I expect to get the service I pay for. And that shouldn't involve me spending the better part of my *** day on forums trying to get this resolved.

I am having the same issue. I can't believe support has botched this up so badly. I currently am unable to even access my profile and account tabs as they are greyed out on my xbox and it says I'm a free member on this website despite having bought membership 12 hours ago and recieved verification of purchase.

use that support link  @judge put up and contact chat with them and they'll cancel your subscription and send u a token for 1 month free. I was having the same exact problem and they just fixed it for me now my account says gold.

I am having the same problems I bought xbox live this morning and on my xbox it says i am a free member. They say everything is up and running but not on my xbox!!  PLEASE FIX NOW!!!

I was on chat support yesterday and the operator told me to wait and it will be resolved. Still nothing.

This is my first experience paying for a gold membership and I gotta tell ya, it blows.

I suppose this is eating into my subscription time. Kinda annoyed, but more pissed off.
