Bought gold membership, still says i have free version?

I bought gold membership about an hour ago, and when i start up my xbox it says i still only have free version and cant play online gameplay. help please?

It can take a while for the site and 360 to catch up to each other. It can be sped up though by testing your Network Connection or recovering your profile.
