BO2 Issue

Hello Everyone,

-

I am having a issue recently.

I was playing BO2 (Black Ops 2), and I tried to Live Stream my Gameplay.

The issue is I couldn't do that because it said something like ''You cannot Livestream due to age restrictions''

I am 19 years old, I think that I am old enough to Livestream.

Can someone help?

-

I can also assure you that  I have signed up to XBOX LIVE with the Correct D.O.B.

I will provide my D.O.B if necessary.

I hope this gets fixed.

Thank you!

where do you live?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Age_of_majority#Age_19 shows the official age of majority. That age, for your state, province, territory or nation, is matched again the age you are according to the original date of birth entered at http://account.live.com/accountsummary.aspx when your Windows LIVE ID/Microsoft account was created. When that account is created, the DOB is read and permanently recorded; changing it later does NOT overwrite the original date. So, if the correct DOB was not entered, then the least worst solution is to create a new account and start over, as there is no other recourse except to wait until that original DOB shows you have reached the age of majority for your locale.

Hello Vibroplex.

-

Thanks for the super quick reply, I appreciate it!

I live in the U.K, and as I have stated before I have used the correct D.O.B and I have never changed it again.

-

I have a younger brother which is only 18 and he doesn't have any age restriction.

I think this is an profile glitch in their ends not mine.

So they will have to solve it.

-

Thanks again Vibro!

Well, a profile clear-and-redownload is recommended just in case the copy of your profile stored on your HD or MU is partially corrupted. I'd start by clearing the system cache (it's just temporary files plus game updates, automatically reloaded) by:

1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button on the controller, go 2 clicks right to Settings, pick System Settings.

2) Select Storage (or Memory if Storage).

3) Move over any hard drive or memory unit (not the Cloud) & press (Y) on your controller & pick Clear System Cache.

4) When asked to confirm storage device maintenance, choose Yes.

Delete profile from your console

1) go to www.xbox.com/accounts & click on Sign in at upper right - if you can't sign in then ** STOP: DON'T ** delete your profile. Please call Xbox Support

http://tinyurl.com/XBLnumbers Option 2 for help with your account. If you can sign in, delete & redownload your profile on your Xbox this way:

2) Go to Settings - pick System - choose Storage - pick All Devices - choose Gamer Profiles

3) pick the gamertag choose Delete, and pick Delete Profile Only.

This deletes the profile but leaves saved games and achievements. Now, re-download your profile.

Re-download

1) Tap the silver Xbox Guide button

2) Select Download Profile (and if you don't see it, press the blue X button to make sure you're not signed in) and proceed with Profile Download.

3) Enter the Microsoft Account addresse for your Xbox LIVE gamertag when asked.

4) Enter the password for the Microsoft Account.

4A) If your account is an Xbox LIVE child account, the parent’s Windows Live ID & password is required as well to download your profile.

5) Pick the storage device for your profile (choose Hard Drive if you have one, or Memory Unit if you don't have a Hard Drive).

6) When the download completes you will be asked if you want the console to remember your password. If it's your home console, I'd say yes, otherwise I'd think carefully about leaving my profile unprotected on somebody else's Xbox!

7) Sign in, and retry.

Well, I am well and truly baffled.

Maybe checking with Activision directly might be a good idea?

I thought this might be issue similar to the issues people had with Halo 4 fileshare.

I am going to try contacting Activision, their Live Chat service is open after 25 Minutes or so.

I will let you know how it goes, and thanks again for the suggestions!

I also have this issue.  I'm 25 live in south Dakota US and have has this account for 5 years.  Never had a problem and now it's telling me that there's an age restriction.  I have no idea how this could be and would love to hear if you find anything out.

Hey everyone,

-

My issue hasn't been solved yet.

-

I tried contacting Activision but the waiting time is over an hour, I obviously can't wait that long.

I will try contacting they when I am less busy, then I can post an update of my issue.

-

Thanks guys.
