Blocked Account

Hi Guys

It would appear my account has been blocked for non-payment. The credit card on my account had expired, and now I can't re-activate my gold status by adding a new card to my account to pay the outstanding balance, because there is an outstanding balance on an expired card, and now I can't re-activate my gold status by adding a new card to my account to pay the outstanding balance, because there is an outstanding balance on an expired card, and now I can't re-activate my gold status by adding a new card to my account to pay the outstanding balance, because there is an outstanding balance on an expired card,etc.etc.etc...

I also spent an hour on the phone to XBL support yesterday, who say they have removed the block, but couldn't process a payment/add a card. 12 hours later and the account is still stuck.

Any thoughts?!?

I'm not sure if this is resolved, but you can try clearing your Xbox cache then adding the new card.

hmm...i had a similar problem, except i added a new card and bought a year and got unsuspended, Apprantly, support even told me you can buy the same subscription that your card is being charged for and redeeming it will work.

so buy a year GOLD from a gaming retails store...or whatever GOLD subsribtion your card is trying to be charged for. it MUST be the GOLD time your card is trying to be charged for

You need to contact phone support to resolve this issue. Once you provide them with a new payment instrument then you will be able to resume using XBL. Do NOT go out and buy a pre-paid card! That will not resolve the billing issue. Since you already contacted support about this you should call again, giving them the reference number they should have given you, and have them finish the process.
