Two months ago I took out a Blockbuster games pass for Ten pound which gave me free rentals till Septmeber the 10th I believe it was.  I was looking forward to Saints Row 4 and Tom Clacys game on my pass the local store had a big poster up saying GAMES PASS FOR 10 QUID to include Saints Row 4 and Tom Clancy went to rent them out last week and they said sorry we have changed our minds we are no longer covering these games in the deal and the poster in the window had been cut in half to remove the wording about the pass and just showing the games with their release dates.

Is this legal and more importantly is this fair..... Cancelled my XB1 pre order instantly and moved it elsewhere and so did 2 friends.

Trading Standards dept is your friend and will be able to advise you.  its free advice.  That is all.

They probably have themselves covered with the small print on the pass which might say something like 'we reserve the right to change this and that blah de blah'. I would still check it out though as its a crappy thing to do.

Can you not ask for a refund due to them changing the deal?

Check the T&C's. I suspect Blockbuster will given themselves the option to change the offer at there discretion

I have the same pass and got saints row IV last Friday... Splinter Cell was there also.

A quick complaint via social media over ruled this and I can rent what I want with some free rental passes thrown in for good measure. Well done Blockbuster I complained and you responded thats all you can ask for. Apparently they have had a lot of complaints and Cockney must be using the only store in the UK not to have changed it to prevent you getting new releases
