Blinking green light

For the past few days, whenever I shut off my 360, the light in the middle of the power button blinks green once every 3-5 seconds (it does this about 3-4 times). Does this have something to do with the most recent update? Does this have anything to do with using cloud storage? Thanks.

It's nothing to worry about, the console does this to either cool itself down or keep downloading something. Did you have anything downloading when you turned it off?

Hey there Ajax! You do have Cloud Storage enabled though, correct? If so, then this would be the reason for this behavior. Cloud Storage syncs with the cloud when you turn off your console, so those few moments where the console is still "running", it's just simply uploading files to the cloud. If you do not wish to see this behavior, you may turn Cloud Storage off, and then turn off "background downloads."

The same thing just happened to me.  I just noticed it.  I'm using Windows Media Center to watch my videos and I noticed it blinking.  It's never done that before.  I've also check to see if the cloud feature was enabled, but it is not and I don't recall where it is to check if you have background downloads enabled.  Very strange...

Just an added FYI, I did notice that as it was blinking, and this is before I restarted it, I wasn't able to access the Storage area on the console.  Do you think that maybe, my hard drive is failing??  I haven't moved my console in years and it is in a very well ventilated area...  Just throwing some thoughts out there.
