Might be a good idea to specify your Provence. I'm in Saskatchewan, and recommend Sasktel. While they aren't the most reliable in terms of stability (though still more than sufficient), they don't cap your downloads and uploads like SHAW does; so you can get the most out of your HDD and Netflix.

I am currently with SHAW Cable, and I get nothing but problems with network stability, and their download caps are really pathetic (on my 5mb line, I get a 60gb a month cap, limiting my gaming/update downloads)

I live in Manitoba and I personally use Shaw Extreme (I believe that's what it's called) and I couldn't be happier. Never once have I noticed any lag at any time of the day (which is awesome because I mainly game after midnight). I believe my cap is 125 GB's and I probably use way more but I've never had an issue with that either.

My other option is MTS and I haven't had them for a long time but I prefer Shaw for gaming.

Stay away from Telus. Easily the worst Internet provider in all of Canada.

I use Telus Optik.

It's very good and gets the job done nicely. I've never lagged or had any problems (except in Halo when host quits and everyone stalls out). My cap is also 250GB, and I've surpassed it before with no issues

They are all about the same. They offer about the same bandwidth. Stability is the key IMO. This will depend on many things. You should call any ISP's you are considering for stability or other issues in your area.

They will all be sufficient assuming that you choose a package that can provide the necessary bandwidth.  Keep in mind that your Upload speed is more important than your Download speed for online gaming.  Generally, even the "cheapest" of packages will provide you with an adequate D/L speed while you really want, at minimum, at least a 1MB U/L speed.

I'm in Ontario and I'm using Shaw, I personally love Shaws' service. I've been using a 25mbps Download and 15mpbs Upload, I have never had a problem with Shaw, but then again I live in a small town where Shaw isn't a strict as the cities are.
