backwards compatible.

I am wanting to play Crash Nitro Kart , and I have xbox live.  I have the most updated version... why will this still not play on my system?

In order to play original Xbox games on the 360, you need to have a hard drive in the system. It has to be an official Microsoft drive and not a copy, knock-off, or counterfeit model as only the ones actually made by Microsoft have the necessary software to run the original Xbox games in emulation. It will not work on the 4GB models unless you install a hard drive. Also note that that particular title only supports BC play on the North American version - it will not work with versions from other regions.

alright, I did not know if I had to buy a hard drive or not.  Really don't want to spend that much money on one but I might end up doing it.  Thank you!
