Awaiting refund ..... still

Back in January my account was hacked, upgraded to gold family and 6,000 points bought then sent to someone I don't know. Since then I have contacted MS several times, the 6,000 points have been refunded and the gold family removed but not refunded. The latest updated, only just got of the phone, was that the investigations team have not passed any information so can not tell me what is happening. So at the moment I am about £70 short from my account (not including the overdraft fee from the bank) and they have given me a token 1 month free gold membership.

 

Why is it taking so long to refund the membership fee when the points were refunded quickly and why does no one know whats going on.

There is no correct forum for this, as the investigation team does not come on the forums.  You will simply have to be patient and proactive about your situation.  Call, say once a week or so if they don't give you any dates.  There is no way to expedite the process, so many people let themselves get conned out of their personal info that they are very busy.
