Auto Renewal?

Why is it such a hassle to do anything that involves cancellation. I have been trying to cancel my gold membership for a month without having to call the **** at cust. support. Now I have to have to receive a text message to remove my auto renewal? WTF is this. Now my now I can't even use silver because the tried to charge my cc that I have been trying to remove for a month.  That's dirty.

Sorry to hear that you're having this issue. If you've been trying but havn't been able to cancel the subscription a short call would get it resolved quickly. Just use this link support.xbox.com/.../contact-us to contact xbox customer support and they can turn off the renewal.

Microsoft has added new security features that are there to protect the customer and their accounts. This can be aggrivating, but is well worth it. If you can't get it done with the new security features, then give support a call. I have called support many times to turn off auto renewals and have never had an issue. Takes about five minutes and has always worked great.

Have you checked all the info, payment acct + other, at http://commerce.microsoft.com ?

If so, suggest you contact a Billing Agent. You can choose Option 1 after finding your country's support line: See http://tinyurl.com/XBLnumbers ...

but a faster way to speak to a Billing Agent is to go to http://xbox.com - sign in there if you can - then go to support.xbox.com/.../contact-us

Click on Request A Call and type in a few lines explaining your issue and you will get called back quicker than if you waited in queue on hold.
