Auto renewal wont turn of?

been trying for over 2 months, i cannot find a number to ring because you have non on the website you just take me round in circles with all this support click on this and that set up, my mums credit card has been being charged since decemeber last year and ive been trying to turn of auto renewal since and every time it says an error has occured what a scam

I know that getting the auto renew to turn off can be frustrating, but support does have a number that you can call, though it is difficult to find. You can call 1-800-4-MYXBOX to contact a billing specialist and get that auto renew turned off on the account side, that way there is no question as to if you are going to get charged again or not.

i understand what you are saying, thankyou for the number by the way but i should not have to ring a number they have provided me with a service that does not work and has not worked since they have put it online, its one big scam ive had them charge my account for mine and my friends xbox live before because we bought a game Add-on using my card so it automatically just started charging from my bank. and what about if i want xbox live again and want to cancel il have to ring up again and it will cost more money, i only have a mobile and you can imagine how much it costs when your in debt to your bank because of microsoft and cant top up your phone to ring them to cancel xbox live

also that is an american number im from the UK it will either cost me a bomb or wont be able to ring it

You turn it off from the "my account" link on this website. The link is located in the top right hand corner of the screen. And it should be pretty easy from that point on, which at this point, the only thing that would be preventing you is if you don't have access to your security proofs, and if you don't have access to those, you'll have to call support. Plus, if the xbox website is set to UK, then using the Click to call feature in the Contact Us section should route you to an international toll free line. Try calling first, if it doesn't work, then you out of luck.

If you security proofs are up to date you can turn off autorenew. It sounds like they might not be, and if you haven't turned off auto-renew before it renewed then you'll still be liable to pay the amount, because your still Gold. They bill like a utility in a way.  If you don't have access to the security proofs you need to go to account.live.com and update them, that's the alternate emails & phone numbers on your account, and you can add or delete what you don't have access too. It can take up to 30 days to remove items you no longer have access too, however if you add & verify more you can chose which proof you want to use to get the code and then you'll be able to turn off autorenew. So no, you don't have to call if you've managed to keep your stuff up to date. It's your responsibility.  That's why when you do the call option it tries to re-direct you to do it yourself.  When you call your region's support, or do click to call just say "billing issue" instead of turn off auto-renew and you'll get a billing agent.
