Australian Qualifying Leg for CoD:XP Tournament - Wed 13th July

Australia is the first to have their qualifying leg announced for the Call of Duty Black Ops Tournament and it will be held at the Monash Computer Games Boot Camp (Clayton Campus - Victoria), just over one week from now, on Wednesday 13th July. The winner gets to fly to the US and have the chance of winning $1 million dollars at the Call of Duty XP Event in LA - http://level3.org.au/?a=post&p=626

Fresh off the wires in an email from Activision, we have the updated details for the Aussie leg of the COD XP $1million tournament we exclusively announced here.

If you don't like links, the event will be held at Monash University's Computer Games Boot Camp on the evening of Wednesday the 13th of July. There will be 32 teams of 4 competing for the right to represent Australia at the COD XP event in September, with the winning team being flown over to LA, along with accommodation and meals being provided as well.

For the tournament itself, the layout will be 4x4 Search and Destroy on Summit and Havana, with the winner of 4 rounds progressing onto the next round. There will be no killstreaks or perks, friendly fire will be enabled and custom classes will be made to be used exclusively for the event, with a choice of the following weapons:

MP5K

Skorpion

Uzi

Spectre

M16

M14

Ak47

Commando

Stakeout

L96A1

Pre Determined Load out:

Secondary weapon: M1911;

Grenade: Frag;

Tactical: Smoke/Willy Pete;

Equipment: None;

Perks: None.

Make sure you get your registration to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** with the names, addresses, contact numbers, emails and dates of birth, along with a team name as soon as possible, because it's first come, first served. The tournament is for those aged 18 and over.

Level3 will be at Boot Camp for the whole event, and we will definitely be at the tourney to see what the players can do. Don't forget to check out Monash's CGBC website for more info about the event itself, particularly if you're a school age student.
