Audio connection help needed!

Hi

can someone help me connect my new Xbox one to my old projector and get audio? I currently only have visual.

My projector has no hdmi. do I need a vga HD AV cable like you would use for a 360?

i currently have a vga cable going into a hdmi converter then into the Xbox. I have anything audio coming through my stereo (PS3 wii etc is hooked up to a junction box thing so I'm not constantly unplugging)

so for audio I need something with the red and white cable on one end, but what does the other end need to be? Red and white to audio out on the projector doesn't work

Hi, hard to imagine your set up and connections but I know that vga does not carry sound (I'm guessing you do too) so as far as I know there's no way to do what you want if your projector does not have hdmi.

Thinking about it, maybe some sort of HMDI to Analogue conversion box would do the trick?  I've no idea if it would work however.

i think i need either hdmi to red and white audio or try the spdif thing.

i strongly suspect i will just end up upgrading my projector to hdmi though :p
