Astro A40 Sound Problems

Hey,

I was told by both Astro + Microsoft that my Astro A40 + Mix Amp would work fine with the XOne, apart from the need to use Kinect as a mic until they bring out the adapter. I wasn't happy that I had to wait for this but I decided to hang on for it.

I've just started to use my headset and the sound is fine as far as I'm aware so far but I'm in a party trying to play Dead Rising 3 and their voices are too loud and the Mix Amp cannot adjust, it just turns everything up/down instead of just turning the the voice/game louder than each other to a desired level. Is there an option on the XOne to turn voice down, is there something I need to do with the headset? Atm it's just not possible to use it for playing online with voice enabled. This is far from being able to use my headset on the XOne.

Cheers.

I don't have an answer, but Microsoft seems to be dragging their butts making an adapter available. I have Astro A40's as well and am using the crappy headset that came w/ the XB1.

Hey Matt,

Sorry for the late reply. As of right now there are no update for adapters for any head units. I an sure that in the future adapters may be created but nothing as of yet. People here in the offices all use that headset and I am sure that they are waiting for it as well.

Nope. XB1 doesn't support headsets. There was a guy from kotaku that modded it.

lulz, the Xbox One... The Do it Yourself Console.

XB1 wasn't ready to be launched. This is just one of the many issues.

Good job MS.... NOT.

Still no party chat.... MS and EA should get together and give each other chest bumps and high fives and share stories of how they launch unfinished products and make billions.

I have Astros as well, but like you stated it's not 100% ideal. Until an adapter can be released for third party headsets you'll have to make do. I've resorted to using the provided headset for when I am chatting and my Astros for when I'm just doing single/multi player without chatting.
