Are my (and others) Xbox Live issues related to our internet service providers?

I'm wondering, are my new-found Xbox Live connection issues due to a problem with Verizon? Please, if you use Verizon for internet, post in this topic so we can see if there is some sort of connection to this issue.

No, I use verion fios for 2 years. And for some reason microsoft is hving issues with there xbox live. This has been ongoin since the new update came out, and is really annoying. I haven't been able to connect to xbox live for about half an hour now..

@Mister Fitzer I have tried manually changing my MTU to Xbox Live standards, unplugging my router/modem, (because I have a hybrid modem and router) resetting the network settings on the Xbox to factory defaults. I don't believe that I've tried anything else, but if I think of something that I forgot, I'll post it here.

nope,I have road runner and have never had a problem before until now. It has to be on something on xbox live end. I was just online last night.

Hey Pringlez, I actually just posted an additional MTU troubleshooter in another thread you posted in, here. Can you please work through that guide and let me know how it turns out? Waternut, there are no known issues with connecting to LIVE currently--for official support, please create your own thread with a full description of the issue you're experiencing, and what you've tried so far. :-)

I use Comcast and can't log on to live today.  Have never had any problems like this before.  I was on last night, can't sign in today. *Edit*  Signed in after trying 15 times or so.
