Anyone with Sky know how to change NAT type?

You alright guys, I scanned through the first couple of steps on changing my NAT type and have no idea what they mean. Would someone be able to give me a break down on how to change my NAT type so that it's not Moderate (which it is at the moment) of strict. I'm with Sky and I know my router address/username/password etc I just need someone to talk me through what to change and stuff.

Cheers.

Oh one other thing, when I'm playing Gears of War 2 I get a firewall warning show up when I click on Custom and I think Ranked, just saying you may have a bad connection. I take it this is due to the "Moderate NAT type" that I find on other games?

Thanks again.

It's both a router and a modem, it's a D-Link. The model number is DSL-2640S

Does that help at all?

Yep, if you haven't already can you ensure your Xbox ip address is set to auto and that UPnP is enabled on your router, the menu might be a bit different as its a different version of firmware but look here for that settings (for reference) [View:http://screenshots.portforward.com/Dlink/DSL-2740B/Advanced_LAN.jpg]

Nevermind, it is enabled. So what else can I do, because if this was already enabled then it hasn't changed the fact that my NAT is moderate =/

Cheers for responding.

Arrr right it really is a different menu!

Put these manual details into the Xbox:-

IP Address 192.168.0.100

Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0

Gateway 192.168.0.1

DNS 192.168.0.1

Ok, now turn off UPnP on the roiuter and click apply/save  then set-up portforwarding like this:-

portforward.com/.../Xbox_Live_360.htm

And forward your ports to 192.168.0.100

I tried manually setting it up as you specified but when I try and do a test it instantly pops up saying there was an error.

What error? :)

And it doesn't matter if your wired or wireless, this is about opening up the Xbox live ports for NAT so it does need to be done yes.
