Any way I can get my old xbox account back?

Okay it has been a very long time since i was able to reconnect my Xbox and I would like to continue using the account i have set up with all my save game data.
About 2 or 3 years ago I was unable to continue xbox live due to personal circumstances and having to move around alot. Over that time, my email address "[Mod Removed]" was hacked by spamware and it was eventually shut down by MSN's software to prevent those sort of outcomes. Is there any way at all i can reset my account with a new email and password, so i can continue to use the account? it won't let me log into the account because the email address is no longer valid or active.

Very much appreciated!

well i looked over the fist link, and it doesn't mention anything about my account being deactivated. I sent in a message or account recovery, and we will see if it works. If not i don't know what to do, is there any way for me to move game data?

Hi there,

Have you tried going through the account recovery steps here (support.xbox.com/.../microsoft-account-faq) yet?

-

Including the Recover Microsoft account link (https://account.live.com/acsr)?

okay thanks donkey, I will deffinately do that. And okay Landmark i will also do that, but as it stands the email is inactive- therefore so is the account. i will most likely have to ask customer support to change the email to a new one due to the previous email being hacked by spamware

If recovering it doesn't work, I recommend you contacting customer support. They might require further information to verify that you are the previous user, and if you can provide the information I am sure they will find a way to compensate you for your account back.

.

Good luck and please let me know how it all turns out.
