Answer regarding FedEx Tracking (US)

For all those who shipped their consoles out to be repaired at the Microsoft Service Center. When you receive the email that your order is being returned back along with tracking number. The reason the # won't register is due to the package going through customs in Mexico. Which unfortunately takes time before FedEx can enter it into their system. So no worries as to the shipment being lost.
