Annoying [loud] audio buzz at the dashboard

I hooked up my xbox to my older tube TV in another room,
to use as a media player. I'm getting a loud and annoying
buzz when I'm using the dashboard and during video, and [I know this sounds wierd]
the buzz gets louder the lighter the colors are on the screen. If the screens momentarily goes black, the buzz stops.
I'm guessing it's electrical interference between the xbox and the TV,
but I don't know what I can do to eliminate/reduce it.

Typically this happens on older TVs when the video signal is "out of range" for the display, meaning that some of the video signal is bleeding into the audio signal.

Try adjusting the brightness level down on the display. If that helps you have it set too high, and you should make adjustments in games via the video settings. If not, it's possible that the TV is going bad and the signal is not getting split properly. Good luck!

This is to do with the resolution on your television and the output from the xbox. With the high settings that xbox outputs at some older television sets can not handle all of the graphic capabilities of the games (some of them dont even work) . The only helo that I can suggest is possibly turning down brightness or possibly usiing headphones and see if this helps any
