annoying disconnect problem

Hello @ all!

My problem is I get very often and in short intervals disconnected from xbox-live. The connection is made when the console starts up and stops short after that. Then it is possible to reconnect but is the connection ends again and again. The Connection stays longer aktive if I am doing nothing (only @ the dashboard), and the connection end up very fast if I download something (disconnect ever ~5-10 seconds).

I also have to say, that problem gets worse from ~midday to night!
In the morning there are sometimes no problems and everything is fine. (Sadly I like to play in the evening ^^)

I think tried all things I have read in this Forums and more …

All ports are open and Upnp is activated. The connectiontest from the Xbox don't finds a problem.

Ok here are the facts:
- Austria / Vienna
- Modem/Router / FRITZ!Box Fon WLAN 7113 Annex A
- DLS provider – UPC/Inode (=ISP)
- Wired connection (same problem when I use my MS wireless adapter)
- UPnP is enabled
- NAT is open
- PPPoE-Passthrough is Normal 0 21 false false false DE-AT X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 activated
- open Ports TCP/UDP (53, 80, 88, 3074)
- I also have tried make my Xbox as „Exposed Host“ for open every Port
- IP’s are given manual (same problem @ automatic)
- „Test Xbox LIVE connection“ – NO
- Status:
W: 0000 – 000B
X: 0000 – 000D
Y: 20A8 - 4800
Z: 0000 - 0000
ID: FFFF – FFFF

The Status in the morning (when no problems where found and i dont get any disconnects):
W: 0000 – 000B
X: 0000 – F009
Y: 20A8 - 4840
Z: 0000 - 0000
ID: FFFF – FFFF

I hope i get help here

Have you contacted your ISP about this issue yet? Also, did they provide the modem/router combo? If so, it might be worth asking if other users with that device have had similar issues.

Hey Cleveland, the issue may be that both consoles are fighting for the connection. Does the same issue occur if the other console is turned off?

Hmm, I dont see the level of my firewall in any of my router menues.

But I can say there is a firawall ... if I set the IP of my Xbox as "Exposed Host" (=all Ports open / the device is visible and accessible on the Internet), the router give me a warning message " blah ... Warning! Firewall is off ... blah" .

Also withthis settings the problem still exists ...

The last day it was realy hot in my country ... could it be that my Xbox is getting to hot?

My Xbox is placed horizontal in a rack and has space of about 10cm on each side ... but its realy hot sometimes.

*Check* Yes my router is using channel 1 WLAN. (it shows 2 other networks on channel 8 and11)

But my connection from my router/modem to my Xbox is wired with a normal ethernet cable.

My Xbox IP is given manual (because of the open port-settings on the router).

The Xbox live connection-test finds no problems.

On your router check what channel is set for the Wirelss, if it's Auto set to a static channel 1 or anything else.

Also to eliminate your xbox360 connect it directly with a network cable to your router (if possible)!
