Hi, that's unusual to say the least, try removing the flash drive, power the console off and remove the power cable from the back of the console,  press the power button several times, reconnect the power cable and give it a try again.

Could you make sure the power cable is connected securely to both the console and from the mains power outlet to the power supply, maybe try a different power outlet if you can, if you're using a power surge protector remove that and connect directly to the mains power outlet.

Hi Da,

Yeah that is odd. Have you tried plugging it into a different outlet?

If that doesn't do it, a Repair may be in order.

Let us know about the other outlet, or if you have anymore questions.

Try removing all connections except power, Ethernet, and HDMI.

I had a similar experience but with my controller charging cable. The cable had a short in it and any time it was connected it would shut the system down. As long as nothing is connected to my front usb ports everything works fine.
