account suspended due to problem with payment option

hi, my account has been suspended due to an apparant problem with my payment option which i believe is perfectly fine. I have tried to change the payement option and this was also not successful.How long will my account be suspended for as this is a bit of an inconvenience.Would be nice if i could get an explanation of what exactly the problem is as your website doesnt really help!! feel like im going around in circles may be better off throwing the xbox out and getting a ps3.

please read this and work thru the troubleshooting or contact support via phone

if you moved to another region the new creditcard won't work in an out of region account

or using a prepaid creditcard you need to register billing info before you can use it

3rd if you are using a prepaid membership code thats not an payment option

 

4th your account will remain suspended till you update the credit info

 

for the best results call support and speak with billing

Use the Click2Call system to get to the head of the queue. Right now, the hold time is less than a minute per the web page.

1) Go to http://support.xbox.com

2) At upper right click on SIGN IN to sign in w/ your Windows Live ID & pswd

3) Go to the dark grey bar at bottom. Find CONTACT US at left and click on it

4) On the Contact Us page, set Prduct to Billing and Subscriptions, set Category to Manage Payment Options and Issue Type to Add Credit Card

5) Scroll down to REQUEST A CALL FROM SUPPORT and click on REQUEST A CALL

6) You will be prompted for your password again

7) On the Request A Call screen, check (and, if needed, update) your phone number in Step 1, and put your description in the Step 2 'Tell us more about your issue' box then click the green SUBMIT button at lower left.

nope you must update your creditcard or paynpal info

then when the payment is proccessed (instantly on console then you can resume using it)

What if i have no room on my credit card and am inputting a prepaid code as an alternative?

I can update my payment info but if they go to instantly charge my account the card will decline. hence why i bought the prepaid code in the first place.

Same thing happened to me. It came up i thought i was banned or something then i read it and it said account susspended. I updated all my info but it just keeps goint xbox home and i cant do anything ive waited a whole day and nothings happened someone help me please.

It is possible you may owe money. Can you log into billing.microsoft.com and verify you do not owe money? Your profile can not be unlocked until you settle any debts. To settle debts you will need to contact Support via the phone.

I got the same problem i have fixed my payment option and its correct but its still tells me to update the payment option... this is just waste of money i have paid for my gold membership and it ends at 01.04.2013 and i can't even logg in to my account, so please help me whit this unnecessary issue.
