ACCOUNT RECOVERY PROBLEM, HELP?

basicaly, i bought a new xbox today as my other one broke. I bought the transfer cables and transfered everything over but my actual xbox live account did not transfer. I tried to 'recover gamertag' although when the process had finished it came up with " can't save your profile on the selected storage device. Please make sure the device is inserted correctly and has enough free space, and then try again" yet i have the new 250gb xbox so i definetly have enough space and i cant move the storage device. when i try and log onto the account on the xbox website, my other account 'PHITTI xx' signs in. They have the same email adress' for windows live ID but i though you could not have the same email adress for different accounts. someone PLEASE help. Thankyou.

I'm having an issue similar to this. This account is associated with this email, and I've never even used this name, and this email used to be associated with one of my main accounts, and I don't remember ever having switched the Live ID.
