Ac Adapter overheating

Simple really, our ac adapter keeps overheating...ie red light.
So we unplug and wait till it cools down and moved it so its on the tile floor etc etc, but this keeps happening.
Should we just buy a new one or is there a way to fix this??

Hi Undamped, unfortunately if the power brick is overheating constantly there isn't much you can do but replace it, although i'd suggest checking the connections (from wall socket to power brick and from power brick to xbox) as loose connections can give the red light also. I'd also suggest placing it somewhere were there isn't clutter or it being covered and within a room that is well ventilated as dust build up can overheat it very quickly.

Hope this is helpful, get back to me with any updates.
