A system error has occurred when play lighting returns

: it the error happens when you have the out world services . turned on .

I am connected to the internet . with xbox live it stop around the time of the update .

they too did a update as well.

I would love to get a error code or some thing like that . then i would be more helpful for me to fine a fix . but it does not do that at all .

I`d like you to clear your Xbox 360 system cache Issues with your Xbox 360 console can often be resolved by removing temporary files and data from the system cache. The cache stores such items as game updates, system update installation packages and gamer pictures of your friends. Clearing the cache temporarily removes: Previously downloaded game updates. You will be prompted to download these updates again the next time you try to play the games.

tried that , did not work out as will as I wanted it too . lost "Hit Man" saves doing that . . also removed the last update so it would ask to update again that did not work as will ether .. even got out my older Xbox 360 to see if would work . still nothing now trying the uninstall of lighting returns . to see what happens . ..  ( a thought this maybe square enix problem if so I find out and post it here)

Hello there again BRYAN428, Thank you for respondingI`ve done some research for the game Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy 13 and it seems that  your not the only person experiencing these problems. What i`ve gathered so far is when the Xbox Live Update Occurred There have been "Lots" Of Xbox Live Users Experiencing The Same Problems As You have been Experiencing. I`m guessing that square-enix is doing everything in there power to resolve this issue.

04/04/2014 on LIGHTNING RETURNS: FINAL FANTASY XIII

For the Xbox 360 players under you, please be aware that we are currently experiencing technical problems with the Outerworld Service. The service went offline after a recent Xbox Live update. Unfortunately, this means that no NPCs or News Feed updates will appear in the game for now, but rest assured that we are working hard on bringing you a fix!  Due to the nature of the issue, it's a bit difficult to say when it will be up and running again (hopefully very soon!), so please bear with us. We're also working hard on ensuring that you won't have missed out of any of the fun or items but would still like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

Sorry, Forgot to add that but when i was about to "Edit" my post "Time" Expired. It`s very frustrating to only get "2 Mins Max" to edit the post before you can not edit it again, This is from the official square enix, You can read about by clicking here. Go to the end of the blog.

We have had many users have this issue with the game, we have a few suggestions we would like for you to try.

- If you are using a proxy, this can lead to issues with login, please try without one to see if this resolves the issue.

- If using a router, try bypassing the router and plugging directly into the modem.

- Some users have found that resetting their networking equipment has resolved this issue. To do this unplug all your networking equipment and wait about 3 - 5 minutes. Start with your modem and work towards your computer, giving each device at least 2 - 3 minutes to start up fully.
