Well, My CD tray is jammed most of the time. it only opens when there's a CD in it. And it's getting worse.

From what I've read, It's a lack of grease in the gears that prevents it from opening. So it's pretty easy to fix.

BUT : My console is 2 and a half year old. Too old for the regular warranty, but still under the "ROD extended Warranty"

So I don't know how to fix that. If I sent it back to Microsoft, I'l gonna have to wait ONE month and to pay for it.

If I send it to my game store, they'll fix it in a matter of hours, but I'll loose the ROD warranty.

Because the ROD ALWAYS happens on a regular Xbox 360, I don't want to loose the ROD warranty. But paying and waiting one month for some god damned grease on the CD tray is kind of frustrating...

My consoles drive is stuck sticky.

This is all I can provide/find about drives not working correctly Sirius.
And I completely understand your frustration about this, I think a standard service fee is around $120 give or take. It might be worth phonong support just be 100% about the cost of a service though.

Typically, the drive has issues due to the Small Square Belt stretching, not anything to do with the gears.

You can replace the Small Square Belt using a pair or two of tweezers. The process does not require opening the console.
