831188fe error code

I went through checking my security proofs and the two step verification crap several times in the past week while trying to sort this out through xbox support. as of last tuesday, it has been escalated. Never thought to ask on here though. I use the standard 20g HD on my xbox with no mem cards or thumb drives. HELP HELP HELP! FIFA COMES OUT NEXT WEEK! thanks! Sir

Hey there SirTrollzza, Please try the following to fix this issue:
  1. Delete your profile (profile only, NOT profile and all items)
  2. Clear the System Cache
  3. Re-download your profile

I have done that SEVERAL times and it hasn't done anything.  It's so frustrating.  I reckon that the XBOX "advocacy team" owes me a month free and 1600msps at least for this horse crap and lack of customer service.  Thanks for your help though everyone, this forum is 10x more helpful and efficient.

Hey there Sir!

While you're waiting for a response from the Advocacy Team, you can give these steps a shot if you like and see if they yield better results:


If it still doesn't work after that, we can try rolling back and redownloading the update. To do that:

  • Go to Settings, then System, then Storage.
  • On your controller, press this button sequence: LB, RB, X, LB, RB, X.
  • Select Yes/OK.
  • Let your console restart/redownload any needed updates.
