8015401D Error Message

I'm trying to create a new account and near the end of the process I keep getting the error code 8015401D.

There is nothing wrong with my connection as there is another account on my xbox that works on live perfectly. But I want to set up a account with all my saved game info so I can play on Live. Why can't I create this new account?

I'm a little confused about what your going for here. If you create a new account, it won't be able to access some or all of the save files from a different account. Can you describe to me exactly what you are trying to accomplish?

I've had an account for years, and just yesterday tried to set up that account for xbox live. I got the same error message (8015401D). No one seems to know what the issue is, and xbox.com/support isnt much help with this issue.

Error 8015401D. I've had this error (or a similar one to it) but it was for gamertag changing (Which Xbox Support didn't know how to fix, so listen up Microsoft) all I did was change my email. I don't know if it will help you out. But it did for me. (HEAR THAT MICROSOFT, THATS HOW YOU FIX THE GAMERTAG CHANGE GLITCH.) XD

I am having the same problem. A different email did not work for me. The problem is this, I have a profile on my xbox. I have had this profile for years. It has all of my gamer points and game saves on it and I would like to connect that profile, which is not this one, to xbox live and keep my points and saves. I created this profile so that I could post on this forum. 8015401D

Greetings, NameBore! When you say that you would like to connect that profile, what do you mean exactly? Would you like to connect it to another email address? If so, I would recommend taking a look at this sticky: forums.xbox.com/.../153168.aspx. Any extra clarification about what you would like to accomplish would be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Trying, are you attempting to create an entirely new account? If so, you cannot use a MAID (Microsoft Account ID) used with a different acccount previosuly.
