i am having trouble with my xbox live account as when i try to sign in it says my console cant connect to xbox live but when i text my network connection it says everything is working fine. i also get the error code 80151909 so i searched it and found what to do but when i go to try and download my account again it says it cant connect to xbox live to do it. And i even if that work i do already have my account download so i don't think it would of let me. Is there any reason to why my xbox can't connect to xbox when the network connection test says it can

Let's try with a few steps and see if we're able to get you up and running again.

Clear Xbox system cache.

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
  2. Select Storage or Memory.
  3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
  4. Select Clear System Cache.
  5. Repeat this process 3 times in a row.


Now, let's try and giving your profile a redownload as follows:

  1. OptionalCopy your Gamertag over to an Xbox 360 formatted USB drive for safe keeping.
  2. Delete your profile ONLY (do NOT delete profile and items).
  3. Restart your console.
  4. Download your profile.
