80151909 Issue

Every time I try to connect to Xbox Live, I receive this message: "Your console can't connect to Xbox Live. Do you want to exit this session and test your network connection? If you are playing a game, you will lose any unsaved progress." 80151909. After that I test my connection, and these are the results:

  • W: 0000 - 000B
  • X: 0600 - F001
  • Y: 0000 - 0000
  • Z: 0000 - 0000
  • ID 0004 - 0001
  • L: 8015 - 1909
  • Q: 8007 - 0435
  • T: Wired

The suggestions tell me it is an internet error. I have already reset my Xbox to its factory settings, unplugged and restarted my modem, cleaned my cache, changed the ethernet cable and nothing works. Can someone help me out?

Well the error code 80151909 brings up the result of your Xbox Live profile not being downloaded properly. Try and redownload your profile by following the steps at this link: http://support.xbox.com/en-GB/xbox-360/settings-and-initial-setup/profile-move-delete
If that does not resolve the issue, then you may have to contact Xbox Phone Support. You can find the number for your region here: http://support.xbox.com/en-US/contact-us.

Hope this helps. Regards, Blancoremixes

Greetings Mags!

Could you please post up the make and model of your router and your modem as well.

Power cycle your network equipment once more as instructed up front.

Power off your network equipment (modem and router) for a 5 minutes as well as your Xbox. Turn on the modem and wait one minute for it to connect properly. Turn on the router and wait another minute. Turn on the Xbox and go to Xbox network settings and restore network settings to factory defaults. Press "B" on your controller and select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.

You may also want to clear the Xbox system cache. This will remove temporary files from the system cache. Here's how!

  1. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to Settings, and select System Settings.
  2. Select Storage or Memory.
  3. Highlight any storage device, and then press Y on your controller.
  4. Select Clear System Cache.
  5. Clear your Xbox system cache 3 times in row.

Post back and let us know how that goes and we'll work from there.

I use a Huawei E160 Modem directly connected to my computer, then I share its connection with my Xbox.

Did you try my suggestion? If so, that was quick.

Do you have the option to directly connect your Xbox to the Huawei device?

No, unfortunately that's not possible. I connect my Xbox to my computer through an Ethernet cable, then I share my modem connection (which is directly plugged in to my computer) with my Xbox. I tried your suggestion, and the same results happened.
