Firstly what part of 'Strictly forbidden' do you people not understand??

Secondly I know for a fact that MS knows how much HDD space each system should have.  Original systems can have 20, 60, 120  or 250GB, the Slim machines should either have 4GB or 250GB.  It stands to reason, that if your 4GB Slim has only a 60GB hard drive, MS will get to know about it, because it shouldn't be that size.

Yes, there are thousands of fake drives available out there and they may well work for 360 storage, but how do you know how reliable they are?  The 360 hard drive is a 2.5" laptop hard drive, meaning that there are millions out, many of which are several years old.  If you buy a fake drive drive it's probably not even a new unit!

i mean im not going to risk my sons xbox for the sake of 60gb but if any xbox hdd works then why are the charging so much for the new 250gb hdd and why not make a 60gb and a120gb??

MS are money hungry!!

It is better to buy an official Xbox liscenced HDD. Although i have heard good news on the generic versions if you want to save money or want a particular HDD space.

You cannot use the older generation HDD in the new S models although you can purchase ranging from 20gb models too 250gb models which are compatible with the new S models and are legitimate.

No this will not get you banned as this is not a modification it is just a new way compared to the old way to insert and remove your HDD for the new console it is perfectly legal to add and remove the hard drive; and yes the HDD if purchased a legitimate Xbox HDD has forms of ID. Furthermore the HDD and the console identification do not have to co-inde with each other even with the older xbox 360s microsoft reccomend upgrading the HDD storage as well as the 4gb new S model.

sorry i edited my post to say eifficient as there is some count for error modifying this as i have done that for a friend lucky for a sucess but have found others not so lucky and they had to buy a generic or official one anyway. i was just trying stating that a generic 60 HDD would be less time consuming and has a higher chance of working
