Does your Xbox reconizes any other wireless network than your own ? I.E your neighbors, etc ?

if your phone have a "personal hotspot" function try turning it on and see if your xbox reconizes it.

If other wireless networks appears on the xbox , then try placing your console in a another local ( closer to the router ) to see if it gets the signal from the router.

My xbox has no recognition of any wifi even neighbours, it suggests connecting an xbox 360 wireless network adapter even though there is one inbuilt.

Hi Monster. Sorry to hear you're having problems. This is a weird one. Have you just tried the basics? Checked for loose cables? I see you power cycled the modem and router, yes? Yes, there have been rare instances I've read where the built in adapter has failed. Personally I would try to move the XBOX to another location with wireless access, like a friend etc. and see is anything changes. Beyond that, it might be time to get your XBOX fixed. I'm hoping some of those might help. Keep us posted. Game on!

Edit, sorry, just thinking, maybe try an external adapter and if you were to get a connection that way, you would know it was the adapter.

Hi, I sugest you contact Microsoft. Your xbox may need repairs.

support.xbox.com/.../contact-us

Meanwhile you can connect your xbox to your router using a ethernet cable if the router is in the same room as your console.

As this xbox is 1 month old would you suggest taking it back and seeing if they can replace with a new one or refund?

Might be a good answer if you can but why would you want your money back when you are just about ready for the most awesome online gaming experience of your life? Ok, seriously though, maybe that might be a good idea if you can. Keep us posted though. Game on!

The Built In Wifi On these slims SUCK!

They cannot even pick up a 5Ghz connection!

I actually plug in my wireless adapter instead of using the damn built in!
